The first concept store of Arachova is a fact and bears the signature of the always restless and creative Pery Manta, owner of the successful boutiques, Lousso and Lousso M&W which made Arachova a shopping destination as well.
L'escalier is housed in one of the oldest buildings on the main street and impresses the visitor with its interior. Responsible for this is the young and talented architect Argyris Chronopoulos who has managed to showcase and combine perfectly the history of the site with a modern perspective. Note that almost everything in the store is handmade. Marble, wood and iron dominate the space, while every steelwork is done by hand. Even the name is derived from the particularity of the building. The staircase! A wonderful impressive staircase, which in order to be revealed and highlighted, they had to tear down part of the old space.
However, what will you find at L'escalier? Upstairs you will find Katerina Ioannidis jewellery, Ileanna Makri and Lito, Lampe Berger scented lamps to uniquely scent your space and clean it from bacteria, scented candles, Komono sunglasses, watches and small decorative items, and not only, for your house.
On the ground floor, wonderful pillows and drapes, fur rugs and other handmade fabrics are here to entice you. What we loved the most is the fabulous music boxes and the packages with creams, biscuits and jams, all coming from London.
