For the last 25 years, Ta Platania taverna has been serving hot, homemade food, with dishes based on traditional Greek cuisine recipes, at the Eptalofos square (also known as Agoriani), next to the famous village waterfall.
Mrs Froso, the owner's mother, is in charge of the kitchen, preparing traditional dishes with love and care, using carefully selected, fresh ingredients. The boar stifado (with shallots) or the rooster in wine sauce, beef with quinces and lahanodolmades (stuffed cabbage leaves), as well as the superb homemade pies, are some of the dishes definitely worth trying. The exquisite pie with greens is a best seller.
Accompany your lunch or dinner with house wine produced by the owners and in the end have some juicy orange pie or crispy baklava, also made by Mrs Froso.
