The Amphissa olive grove below Delphi leads to Itea (30 km from Arachova). Here you can stroll along the beach, admire the preserved neoclassical buildings and continue to the picturesque Galaxidi.
After 16 km you will come across a village with a long naval history which had great and glorious moments during the 19th century when it housed many shipyards in the Agora and Chirolaka areas. Take a walk in the pretty harbor with its colorful houses, smells of fresh fish from nearby taverns and coffee aromas from cafes.
Do not forget to see the Parthenagogio (girls only school) up close, an 1880 building, the Maritime Museum (Museum Street, tel. +30 22650 41795), and the churches of Agia Paraskevi and Agios Nikolaos.
