1 day in Athens for singles
Begin your day early in the morning with a visit to Athens’ landmark, the Acropolis, followed by a visit the New Acropolis Museum and then take a stroll along Dionysiou Areopagitou pedestrian Street and to the Ancient Agora. Enjoy wandering through the narrow streets of Plaka and the open-air market in Monastiraki. Stop at the romantic Yiasemi cafe or the ever-crowded Dioskouroi for coffee or ouzo with nibbles, or whatever else might take your fancy.
You can continue your day with a walk to Filopappou Hill, and in the afternoon go shopping and enjoy an aperitif in Kolonaki. Later in the evening make a reservation at a restaurant of your choice with a great view of the Acropolis or perhaps a wine bar in the center, the new trend in the city. Brettos Bar in Plaka is one of the best choices for wine, liqueurs, drinks or cocktails in an atmospheric setting. Continue the vibrant nightlife in the center of the city (Gazi, Kolonaki, Monastiraki) and end your night an experience at the “bouzoukia” on Iera Odos.
