Day 1

Begin your day at the Acropolis archaeological site and the Acropolis Museum on Dionysiou Areopagitou Street. These are the city's landmarks and should not be missed! You will need about 2-3 hours there. Afterwards, you can enjoy coffee and delicious snacks at the cafe on 3, Makrygianni Street. Continue the romantic mood on Dionysiou Areopagitou pedestrian Street, exploring the treasures of the city, such as the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Ancient Agora etc. Later, wander through the narrow streets of Plaka, Monastiraki with its open-air market (beware of thieves), and Psiri. Enjoy a soft drink or whatever takes your fancy at A for Athens or 360. The view from here is truly breathtaking! Continue your walk by going down Ermou Street, the most commercial street in the city; the shopping options are endless here! A very short distance away, you will come across a favorite square in the city, Agias Eirinis Square. Day 2

Say “good morning” to the Parliament evzones (guards), in Syntagma Square. The changeing of the guards is a spectacle you can see only in Athens, so do not miss it! Then, why not take a walk in the green areas of the city center? Filopappou Hill is among the places with the best views and also ideal for a romantic walk. Buy a take-away coffee and enjoy your walk peacefully and relaxed. Walk down to the neighboring Kolonaki, the former area of the elite that has maintained its cosmopolitan and artistic character. You can spend endless hours here, shopping and window-shopping, drinking coffee and cocktails in very nice shops, or wine in fine wine bars, as well as eat something light before continuing your visit to a neighboring museum, such as the Museum of Cycladic Art, the War Museum etc. You can dine at Orizontes Lycabettus in the evening with its dreamy view and say goodbye to Athens from Lycabettus Hill (which you can reach by taxi or funicular-until 14.30), the most romantic spot in Athens where you can see the city from high above...
