Launched in 1983, its philosophy is a balance between quality, tradition and renewal. The founder, Mr. Benito, came from Istanbul, where he ran a grocery store from 1950. At the delicatessen in Palaio Faliron which took his name -his two sons, Apostolos and Limporio are in charge today- you can find Thrace teleme, traditional Greek cheeses (graviera etc.), imported cheeses (Brie, mascarpone, pecorino, parmesan etc) as well as salami, prosciutto and sausage from renowned foreign producers.
What is more, the shelves are filled with fresh and dried pasta, German and Turkish pickles, vinegar, mustard and a variety of sauces, baked goods, Italian tuna and their own produce, such as gialantzi stuffed vine leaves, octopus salad, pastourma pie and manti (pasta filled with mince meat and spices).
