Phi Bakery is located on central Agias Paraskevis Street in Halandri, honouring the luxury of simplicity and high quality of raw ingredients. The first time you see it you are impressed by the beautiful way it is set up, but if you do not get in to process it, you will not understand the philosophy and concept that it represents.
Let’s start with one important detail to make the "introductions" properly: the term bakery here has nothing to do with the spontaneous translation of “oven” that is customary, but it refers to what the bakery stands for abroad. This is where all day long "something is baked", a cafe-patisserie where one can enjoy a relaxing coffee (Ipanema), breakfast and many other delicious suggestions. Its name comes from the golden number "Phi" that in mathematics indicates the perfect balance and harmony in everything in nature, and was created out of the love for confectionery of Foteini Maggana, the owner.
At Phi Bakery, which impresses with the pastel colours, its peacefulness and sweetness, you can taste exquisite sweets, with the carrot cake and the oatmeal cookies with cranberries and walnuts being its bestsellers, energy bars, a variety of sandwiches and pastries, salads, pies, breads, ice cream and even a big list of goodies.
On Sundays the menu is enriched with a complete brunch proposal that can be delivered also to nearby areas. Eggs in nest with mushrooms and bacon is a must try, while its pancakes are among the best ones in the city. If you are a hot dog lover, here it is served with a very special homemade chili sauce.
