Falafellas is a street food place on Aiolou street, in the centre of Athens, for falafel lovers. If you don't spot the sign between the shops on the pedestrian street, you will definitely see the long queue formed outside this tiny place by the regulars. Falafellas has managed to have its own loyal followers since May 2013, when it opened.
The traditional Middle East dish is served in big or small (pocket size, as the owners call it) arabic pita bread including lettuce, tomato, cucumber, aubergine, falafel, tahini sauce, yoghurt sauce and red sauce.
You can take out any one of the above ingredients according to your preference –they are all homemade using fresh products– and choose whether you want it hot or not.
