Garbi, one of the most notable and famous restaurants of Attica, has been operating since 1924. Today, Aggeliki Garbi, daughter of the founder Petros Garbis, along with his grandchildren, Elissavet Louizou and Pavlos Kosmopoulos, are at the helm of the family business.
Consistently maintaining and respecting the tradition of its successful operation, the current owners place special emphasis on fish, for which the restaurant is famous since day one. Moreover, its menu also includes interesting meat and vegetarian options.
In its recently renovated and full of light premises right by the sea you will have the opportunity to try the freshest fish that arrive daily from the fishermen of Leros, overlooking the endless blue. Among the exquisite proposals of the menu, supervised by chef Michael Pittas, those that stand out are the Mediterranean fish soup the vitello tonnato, the dakos cheesecake, the superfood fusilli, the savoury Atlantic pancake and the nicoise avocado filled with king crab.
Its highlights include the new oyster bar and the unique cocktails you can try here.
Apart from its great location that features unobstructed views to the Saronic Gulf, it also boasts an up-to-date wine list with fine labels from the Greek vineyards, which are enhanced by some great labels from foreign vineyards (from France, Italy, Chile etc.).
Don’t forget to leave room for its delectable deserts, such is the exquisite violet pavlova (meringue with cream from wild violet essential oils topping, violet ice-cream with stevia and caramelized violet flowers).
