The renovated neoclassical listed building of 1890 on 4 Kalamiotou Street in the centre of Athens, very close to Agias Irinis Square, has been transformed into one of the cosiest all day haunts of Athens. Of course we talk about Kuko's The Bar.
Combing harmoniously the neoclassic with the industrial style, its interiors have been kept intact, with minor interventions only in terms of colour. The environment, which oozes the feeling of a haunt and stands out for its intimate and friendly atmosphere, was created to become the ideal choice for coffee and drinks, as well as for light meal and dessert.
Placing special emphasis on quality, it serves two varieties of coffee, one single variety and one speciality of Taf. The cocktail list features inspired proposals by Kuko's team –Cigar Lounge (smoked cocktail) and Passenger (variation of sangria with vodka and other ingredients) its best sellers– with homemade syrups and bitters of their own production, without this meaning that you will not find some of the most classic cocktails. For those who love wine, it also features a carefully selected wine list with selected labels from the Greek vineyards, some of which are served by the glass, as well as homemade sangria.
However, its food menu is also worth mentioning, as it consists of proposals such as cold salads, baguettes and bruschetta with the club sandwich and pizza already being at the top of the customers’ preferences. All dishes are prepared at the time of ordering and they are homemade.
