La Pantera Negra (the Black Panther) is a much promising arrival in Plaka, a few minutes away from Syntagma, with Peruvian bistro - pisco bar character that does not deny its influences from around the world and embodies 100% the philosophy of Dimitris Katrivesis’s kitchen.
The creative chef has set up a comfortable and cosy place and has also composed a menu that doesn’t get old no matter how many times you visit the restaurant. Rock mood, mastery in terms of Peru's flavours and accumulated experiences from his travels around the world are mixed with enough craziness and form a highly seductive proposal.
The menu features a variety of proposals, while there are also specials - inspirations arising from the ingredients picked up by the chef during his morning walk to the market. We stood out the Leche La Pantera Negra (white fish, smoked sweet potato, black quinoa, panther milk, coriander, onion) from the ceviches, the Rabo De Buey Con Arroz Caldoso (braised beef tail, rice, soya sauce, gravy and goat cheese), the steamed dumplings, while its desserts are a real temptation with Tres leches stealing the show.
Apart from the food, it also features a thought-out cocktail list with Piscos playing a leading role. The cocktails as a philosophy here accompany and add to your food experience, so feel free to find one the one that suits your tastes.
