A beautiful cafe-bar in Kifissia with sweet homemade delicacies and one of the most beautiful yards of Athens!
Menta is hosted in the house where the famous Greek poet Angelos Sikelianos lived the last few years of his life and is a unique choice for all hours of the day. You can come here in the morning for coffee and later for a lunch break with homemade salads and salty tarts. After sunset -especially during the winter months- a glass of warm Gluhwein, with spices and honey is a must.
The brioche stuffed with chicken, mushrooms and cheeses in the oven, the bruschettas, Chevre salad with goat cheese on roasted bread, spinach salad, mixed greens, fresh mushrooms, pine nuts, sun-dried tomatoes and vinaigrette sauce, stand out on the menu. The sweet temptations lemon cheesecake and chocolate fudge served with Madagascar vanilla ice-cream are best sellers.
The fresh coffee, which they get in beans and not grounded, is an asset. The interior space is not very big and during rush hour it is likely that you won't find a table. In this case choose one of the tables in the yard where there are heaters.
