The most famous charcuterie in Athens is on Evripidou Street and is renowned for the pastrami.
The shop’s history takes us back to 1922, when Miran Kourounlian managed to set up his business on 45 Evripidou Street. Back then, his shop was hardly 3 sq.m. yet his clientele would gladly queue round the block for his homemade delicacies. Today, after so many years, queuing is still the shop’s trademark! Still it’s worth it, if you want to try the most fresh and finely chopped pastrami ever.
