New meze restaurant, housed in an old two story building in the heart of Halandri, that will take you on a journey back in time and will introduce you to the traditional Greek kitchen. Oneiria was added on the neighbourhood’s culinary map on July 2017 and immediately stood out from the rest for serving reasonably priced delicious dishes as well as for its cozy and inviting ambience.
During winter we suggest you to prefer its warm and beautifully decorated with stone and wood interior, which is adorned with antiques from all over Greece to retain its retro authenticity. During summertime you will be able to choose one of its three amazing yards with the bougainvilleas and the geraniums to host a feast with your friends.
The nostalgic feeling of this place is ideal for a meal with mezze accompanied by Greek music. Its menu includes a wide variety of classic mezze dishes with modern touches, made with selected fresh ingredients. We strongly suggest you try the eggplant dumplings, the striftaria from Lemnos with syglino and feta, the tzigeri (sautéed liver) with thyme and the mix grill.
If you add the exquisite tsipouro, the bulk wine from Tyrnavos and the ouzo labels from Mytilini you will have all the necessary ingredients to have a great time.
Oneiria is open from early in the morning serving Greek coffee on the spit and other traditional Greek beverages and refreshments, such as vanilladipped in a glass of cold water, soumada (almond beverage), salep, kainari from Agiassos, homemade sour cherry juice and lemon juice.
