The new Italian restaurant in Glyfada goes by the name Ramino (operational since November 2015) and is located right next to Mezze Glyfada, partner-restaurant of Kastelorizo Group on Aggelou Metaxa Street.
Ramino is cosy, bronze and friendly, following the philosophy of its name –in Italian Ramino is the small bronze cooking vessel while it can also be the famous rummy, a card game for group of friends. Its space oozes warmth with key features including shades of rust and red-brown bricks and the reflections of the natural copper, giving at the same time a New York City and Viennese flair.
The menu has been created by the chef Charalampos Kountouris, while the chef de cuisine Christos Giatrakos is in charge of the kitchen. The philosophy of the menu is based entirely on Italian, traditional and more modern recipes that are made with authentic Italian products in order to take you on the culinary paths of the neighbouring country with the most delicious, quality and enjoyable way.
On the menu the Vitello tonnato (traditional Italian recipe with veal and tuna), meatballs with caponata of eggplant and coppa salami, spicy pizza with pepperoni, pepper and Italian dough, pappardelle with veal, red wine and gorgonzola cheese, gratine gnocchi with smoked salmon, fennel and garlic-infused olive oil stand out.
