Serbetia, located in the bustling Psiri neighbourhood, is a small cozy place serving fresh, traditional, handmade desserts in satisfying portions.
The scenery which is reminiscent of Athens in the 60s, will sweeten your senses with the extremely enticing sweets that it prepares on a daily basis in its workshop, located in the building’s top floor.
A large variety of sweet temptations able to satisfy even the most demanding sweet lovers is on display for you to choose the one that will catch your eye. Two of the options that will surely draw your attention are the famous Love Cake (a juicy chocolate pie covered by thick chocolate syrup), the Bananato (Miranta Papadopoulou biscuits, fresh banana bites and chocolate, served with ground biscuits, hot praline syrup and fresh banana bits), love “be with you” or kiounefe which is served with a scoop of kaimaki ice cream on the side. Don’t miss the opportunity to sample its handmade cakes, such as the red velvet, the carrot cake, the survivor cake and –why not?– a lemon cake or a caramel cake.
If you like classic tastes you can sample the homemade syrup sweets, such as fresh lemon pie, orange pie, ravani, walnut pie or Instabul ekmek. The traditional types will be definitely drawn by the traditional baked sweets drenched in syrup, such as baklava, galaktoboureko and kantaifi.
All desserts can be served with authentic kaimaki ice-cream (alternatively with vanilla, chocolate, strawberry ice-crem).
