Tokyo Joe, small and atmospheric, right on Esperidon Square in Glyfada, is one of those sushi-bars that you will instantly call a local. With value for money philosophy, it serves excellent quality sushi, which will be certainly included in your favourites in town.
There are a few tables inside, with the possibility of dining at the bar, while it features a small loft and some tables on the square. Your options, other than those of a classic sushi bar, are many, as its menu features quality suggestions based on fish, chicken or beef and salads.
The protagonist, however, of the menu is none other than the popular rolls in various versions and tasty combinations that make the best of impressions. Divided into Hossomaki & Uramaki, Signature, Nigiri & Sashimi they will make your choice a difficult one.
Our favourite were the Spicy Tuna (tuna, spring onion, chili sauce mayonnaise), the Eel Avocado (green massago, cucumber, avocado and eel sauce), the Tempura mix (teryiaki roll with shrimp and tempura crab), the Spicy Sea bass (avocado, green massago, cucumber, seared sea bass, chopped chili and drops of yuzu), the Dynamite (avocado, cucumber, red massago, snowcrab surimi with chili sauce mayonnaise and drops of yuzu) and the New Yorker (inside mayonnaise, shrimp tempura topped with spicy tuna, tobiko, teriyaki sauce and chrunch).
Its sophisticated cocktails with excellent aromas and flavours are an asset.
