Greek tapas bar (in fact a mezze bar) located on Anavriton pedestrian street in the centre of Maroussi, overlooking a green park. TranzistoRaki is decorated like the modern version of an old grocery store, a theme which relates directly to the philosophy of its cuisine.
It serves a wide range of small portion Greek dishes to accompany one of the 44 available varieties of tsipouro, ouzo and raki on the list. Ioannis Ioannidis is overlooking the menu in collaboration with Aris Kallipolitis, the supervising chef of the much discussed Gaspar restaurant.
The delicacies that stand out are the bruschetta (corn flour pie, smoked ham, poached onion and yogurt sauce), the peynirli (handmade open pie with spicy minced meat), the homemade pickles and the lentils with marinated anchovies (handmade marinated anchovy with lentils, smoked peppers and wild fennel sauce).
Its list also includes cocktails signed by the mixologist Pavlos Beis.
