54 km from Chania town lies a place where you can learn the secrets of agrotourism and where you can get rid of all your stress. Milia is a restored village in Kissamos in the heart of the western part of the prefecture. It was built at an altitude of 500 meters.
Nestled on the mountainside, it is surrounded by a landscape of outstanding beauty, and is crossed by a small stream. The 13 houses in the village are built from stone and wood on the ruins of older rural properties and have old furniture. There is no electricity (the village has generators but only for lighting in winter) or cars. You will have the opportunity to get involved in farm work throughout your stay.
The village gives lessons in traditional cuisine. You can enjoy activities such as mountain biking, hiking along designated paths as well as excursion to nearby areas, including Elafonisi, Falassarna, Balos etc.
