Tartufo restaurant, near Eleftherias Square in the modern town of Chania, owes its name to a rare type of mushroom, and is known for its authentic Italian cuisine.
With the first wood burning oven to operate in Chania, the family business –today in the hands of its second generation of owners– has been active since 1981 and we highly recommend the gastronomic delights you'll find in the adjacent restaurant.
The flagship of Tartufo is none other than the handmade pasta prepared in the kitchen of the restaurant and the italian style pizza with a thin dough baked in the wood oven. The list features a wide range of suggestions from which you'll struggle to choose just one!
Complete your meal with one of the sinfully sweet pizzas with chocolate, seasonal fruits, ferrero cream, creme patisserie etc.
