Melia restaurant, which is located next to Karidi beach in Vourvourou and offers a panoramic view to the beach and an amazing pine forest focuses on the modern and creative side of the Greek and Mediterranean cuisine.
The open kitchen, one of this exquisite open air venue’s main features along with the decor’s earthly tones, allows you to observe the whole preparation process and experience a unique culinary journey with fish and seafood dishes in the spotlight.
Extremely fresh fish, still carrying the essence of iodine, arrive every day at the restaurant’s kitchen from the area’s fishermen, they are masterfully grilled and finally land on your table. On the other hand, the menu’s seafood suggestions will pique your interest and leave you defenseless against their culinary… invasion/invitation.
The new menu’s highlights are the squid stuffed cheese and various vegetables, the shrimps that are grilled on sea pebbles on your table by the waiter, drenched in ouzo and served on carob bread with white tarama sauce, the crispy salad with kantaifi, arugula, fresh cheese and olive oil and lemon sorbet with thyme, the squid risotto, the giouvetsi and the seafood pasta, as well as the creative baklava with crispy phylo pastry and ice cream. Also note that the menu includes a dish of the day (moussaka) and suggestions with meat in case you don’t feel like eating fish or seafood.
Moreover, worth mentioning is the updated wine list with labels from the Greek vineyard, as well as the inspired cocktail list, which includes suggestions that are served from midday onwards.
The restaurant opens daily at 09.00 to serve a hearty breakfast with various omelets, Greek scrambled eggs etc.
