Description

Agios Nikitas

65km southeast of Heraklion city, you will come across secluded Agios Nikitas beach, in the south part of the prefecture, an ideal choice for all those looking for relaxing moments during their holiday.

It is named after the Monastery of Agios Nikitas, built in a rock in 1640. The chapel is located at a spot high up, from where you can enjoy a view of the Libyan sea.

This is a pebbled beach with turquoise, crystal clear waters. There are no beach umbrellas or bars, so make sure you have everything you might need with you.
