A bit out of Heraklion city, at Skalani, Elia kai Dyosmos taverna is a great representative of Cretan cuisine. The tasty combinations are enhanced by Cretan products to create recipes with local, carefully chosen meats as well as with exquisite seasonal products.

Awarded chef Argyro Varda prepares dishes with a lot of love and care that are inextricably associated with Crete. The smoked aubergine salad with aromatic herbs, meat cakes and funnel pies from Chania, handmade traditional pasta, roll of lamb stuffed with spinach and cheeses, lamb with askolimprous (kind of wild greens), refreshing seasonal salads, etc., stand out on the menu.
