The quiet and secluded Trafoulas beach, also known as Psili Ammos or Trachoulas, is located about 70km from Heraklion city centre and 4km from Lentas.

In order to get to the beach you have to go through Trafoulas gorge, about a 20-minute hike. Once you see the sandy, pebbled beach with turquoise, crystal clear waters, the steep rocks surrounding it and the many caves in them, you will know that the hike was worth it.

There are no facilities on the beach, so make sure you have everything you might need with you.
