In Palia Plaka, located in the district Maistrato in Argostoli, you'll get to try one of the best traditional cuisines on the island. Locals and visitors have gathered here for two decades in the cool veranda by the sea side, for Kefalonian meat pie with tomato sauce, goat sofigado and other well-cooked food served in hearty portions.
Choosing between the dozens of dishes on offer is difficult, both for lunch and dinner. The hare ragout, fish bourgeto, prokado and veal with stewed greens (tsigaridia) are delicious. At the end you’ll be treated to something sweet.
