Platia Ammos
Platia Ammos

The once jealously guarded secret of the locals has stolen the spotlight in recent years from the other impressive attractions of the peninsula of Paliki. For many Kefalonians, the isolated Platia Ammos is comparable, perhaps even superior, to Myrtos.

Shortly after the monastery of Kipouria, at 15 km. from Lixouri, on a belt of sand and small white pebbles, you can stretch your legs without a single sign of human intervention. You will need to go down more than 300 stairs to dive in the crystal clear waters, surrounded by the towering steep rocks overlooking the endless sea.

The beach is not at all serviced and you should take an umbrella for shade.
