Under the overgrown fringes of Mount Atros, 45 km. away from Argostoli, the pebbled beach of Poros stretches to a length of 2 km. next to one of the most important ports of Kefalonia.
Descending the stairs from the main square of Poros a much-visited and well-serviced beach awaits, scattered with fine white pebbles, for swimming in calm and blue waters as the ships come and go at the port.
Taverns, cafes and many other shops are within walking distance. A little further, crossing the bridge, you will find the equally popular and well-serviced beach of Aragia (or Ragia as the locals call it), which is consistently awarded with a blue flag.
