Tiri tis Posas

Also known as Krasotiri, Tiri tis Posas is a type of red wine cured goat's cheese. If you believe the myth, the cheese was created out of sheer luck.

According to the myth, a year in oil was not enough for the curation of the Kotian cheese, so they placed the cheese in wine sediment. That's how it gets it rich red colour, with the additional help of some local pine bark, which also helps it extract the colour of local red wine and its acidic aromas.
