Citizens of the European Union (including Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Liechtenstein) traveling to Kos and Greece in general, enjoy the right to free public health care, when they bear a European Health Insurance Card with them. Otherwise, you must pay for any care needed, except for emergency room visits.

Tipping

A service charge is included in restaurant bills when you dine and bar bills for drinks. However, it is customary to leave a 10% tip on the total of the bill, if you are happy with the overall experience.
