In the western part of Messinia, Romanos beach is located next to the homonymous village and for the locals it is also known by the name Glyfadaki.
Overlooking the Ionia sea, this is a wide beach that is made up of many smaller, successive, sandy beaches with crystal clear blue waters. The first section of the beach is organized with umbrellas, sun lounges, a beach bar and a restaurant on the road above the beach area.
Part of the beach is untouched by mass tourism, therefore it is ideal for those after a more secluded and peaceful environment for their summer dips.
Romanos beach became well known to all with the development of the famous Costa Navarino, the largest hotel resort in Greece and the entire Mediterranean for that matter.
