A snow-white church, which is featured on postcards and causes awe with its elegance, attracts the attention of all those who lay their eyes upon it.
You will see that it is a cluster of five churches which have been built on 2 levels, with 4 at the lower and 1 at the upper level. The main church was built between the 16th and 17th century and stands out for its asymmetrical shape. Paraportiani, in the Kastro district, took its name from the paraporti (the entrance next to the castle) and offers one of the most striking images of Mykonos. Even if you do not visit it, it will catch your attention as you wander the streets of Chora or while seeking the way to or from Little Venice.
