The new "child" of Gialos answers to the name of Vegera, maintains the traditional element of the area and is combined with the modern requirements of the public, it is distinguished for its warm hospitality and promises the best.
Let’s start from the building where it is housed which "hides" a story of decades, as since 1860 there was the "traditional Skaropoulos cafe", famous among other things for its award-winning marzipans. Today, one can see the remnants of its history since a characteristic mast has preserved on the roof.
In Vegera, we come early in the morning to start our day with the wonderful breakfast menu. It is really worth trying at least once the Greek salad with eggs, tomato, feta cheese, olives and sauteed onions.
In addition, the food menu represents the Greek cuisine, emphasizing on seafood and fresh fish that comes directly from the boats of the island daily.
It is worth noting that this is one of the few places on the island where one can find such a wide variety of appetisers to combine with some of its many labels of tsipouro and ouzo.
Its pluses include the remarkable wine list, while our favourite is the Vegera Cocktail.
