Roulis fish tavern first opened in 1981 in Argos. In 1991, it moved to its current location in a beautiful spot by the sea, with a view of Nafplio town, on the Nafplio-Nea Kio coast road.
Renowned for its respect for quality and presentation, it is famous for its fresh fish and seafood, fish mezze and friendly service.
Its menu is filled with tempting appetizers that you will not know which one to choose first. Shrimp saganaki, steamed shrimps with mustard sauce, cod croquettes, cured trout, octopus (stewed, roasted or salad), aubergine balls will surely tempt you. At the same time, the small fried fish –smelt, anchovy, whitebait– are ideal for ouzo with sea views.
However, if you want to engage in authentic fish-eating, note that at Roulis you will find fresh fish of the day, always depending on the season and the catch. Its best sellers include the fish soup, the shrimp spaghetti, the lobster spaghetti, and the bream giouvetsi (everything on request), while the new menu arrivals include the fresh mussels in various versions, with the mussel risotto being one of the top suggestions.
