Nafplio is the capital of the Argolida prefecture and is one of the most beautiful towns in the Peloponese and in all of Greece. It is a favorite destination for both Greek and foreign tourists throughout the year. The Venetian conquerors called it the ''Naples of the East''. Most people know that it was the first capital of the Greek state in 1828, under the governor, Ioannis Kapodistrias.

Nafplio's beautiful Old Town, with its characteristic Venetian architecture, two castles and famous Palamidi and Acronafplia, is a benchmark. Those of you who choose to come here for your summer getaway or vacation, should know that Arvanitia, Karathona, Tolo and the Ancient Assini coast are among the famous beaches. You can try local delicacies at the taverns and restaurants during your stay in Nafplio, whose key ingredients are meat and fish, as well as quality dailies.
