One of the longest beaches on Naxos is located on the west side, about 10 km from Chora. This is the natural continuation of the beach of Agia Anna. The immense length, (4 miles) of sand was once a haunt for free campers and hippies. Today, Plaka is one of the most popular beaches on the island, offering options that cover even the most demanding visitors needs.
White sand, turquoise waters and exotic sand dunes at the back of the beach set the scene. The greatest part is the organised area with sun beds, umbrellas, taverns, beach bars and water sports. However, walking along, you'll find several hidden spots.
