Housed in one of the most imposing buildings of the Castle, the magnificent restored Krispi Tower, or Glezou Tower, stands rising over the Trani Porta, near the northwest gate. It's the only surviving one ut of the 12 towers that once protected the Sanudo Castle in Naxos' Chora.
It originally belonged to the Crispi family and was later passed to the Frangopoulos family, then the Barozzi family and finally to Petros Glezos.
Here you'll see a remarkable Byzantine sculpture exhibition (with works dating from the 7th to the 12th century) from Naxos and the Cyclades. In its spaces you can admire architectural and marble reliefs and also find information regarding the Byzantine monuments of Naxos and other islands.
