At the village Lefkes you will find the sweetest and most magical spot on the island. H Pezoula tis Lichoudias is a tiny patisserie-cafe (much like a home) where the fragrant scents that flow from its cuisine, the homemade jams, syrup coated fruit, liqueurs, handmade pies, tsoureki (brioche), galaktoboureko (custard pie), cakes etc. will enchant you.
Among the proposals that stand out are the jars with capers, tapenade, sundried tomatoes, "submarine" vanilla (a nugget of vanilla or mastic-flavoured sugar paste dipped in a glass of cold water), as well as the homemade liqueur, the cherry pie, the bougatsa, the meat pie, the pumkin pie etc.
Everything is prepared in the kitchen of Pezoula and is handmade and homemade, according to the grandmother's recipe.
