Apocalypsis restaurant of Patmos Aktis Suites & Spa hotel is located on the east part of Patmos, in the charming Grikos Bay, and it is just ten minutes’ drive from Skala.
Sheltered and quiet, with moored boats at the little pier offering a cosmopolitan sense, at night Grikos Bay transforms into a vast water mirror, where stars dance onto the undisturbed sea bed sheet. Especially during full moon, you'd think that the moon forms a crater of light in the water.
Overlooking Tragonisi and the traditional mansions in a downhill slope gazing the Aegean Sea as a background, the restaurant adapts effortlessly with the overall landscape and creates an atmosphere of intimacy and liberating summer relaxation. In divine symmetry, the saltworts add a green touch to the scenery, while the all-white stone columns, which dominate the outdoor space, give the impression of dining in a courtyard.
Here, the leading role have the dishes of modern Greek cuisine among which the suckling pig on the spit with mashed celeriac with with tonga spice, potato with lemon and sofrito gravy, cock pastitsada in gravy sauce, local sea bass with a puree of roasted beets, croquette from grey mullet bottarga and citrus with fresh vanilla, and shrimp tartare with black fish roe mayonnaise and vegetable pickles stand out.
