Agios Ioannis is located in east Pelion, and it is popular among visitors, especially during the summer. The white-pebble beach has been awarded the blue flag and is one of the most famous ones in Pelion, with many tourist facilities.
This fish village is 44km from Volos and is named after the small chapel of Agios Ioannis Theologos. On 24 June, there is a big celebration on the island in honour of the saint.
Famous beaches Papa Nero and Plaka are also near Agios Ioannis.
