Ecclesiastical Museum of Agios Georgios

Part of the Vafiadis Cultural Centre (also including a conference and exhibition room) the Ecclesiastical Museum of Agios Georgios is hosted in the basement of Agios Georgios church which dates back to the 15th century in Agios Georgios village, in central Pelion, and was founded in 1995 by Avrilia Vafiadis, sculptor Nikolas Pavlopoulos's sister.

There are six categories, depending on the kind of exhibits that have been gathered from churches and monasteries in the village. Manuscripts, icons, ecclesiastical books, ciboriums, sacred vestments, various objects and wood crafted ecclesiastical objects decorate the museum and present to visitors the history of the area.
