Lemonokipos has a long history, since in 1910 the owner's grandfather opened the first pub. It is housed in the courtyard of a Venetian mansion at Rethymno Old Town.
With a family and cozy atmosphere, and the scent of lemon trees (Lemonokipos means garden with lemon trees) being dominant, it will definitely make an impression on you. You will have the chance to try traditional Cretan cuisine dishes with a modern twist.
Don't miss out on the lamb in lemon sauce, sausages with molasses, chicken with bergamot and bitter orange, coconut milk risotto, fava (split peas) with caramelised onions and sun-dried tomatoes, tenderloin with rakomelo (raki with honey) and sun-dried tomatoes, etc.
