The Acropolis of Filerimou, 13km from the center of the Medieval Town of Rhodes, just after Ialisos dominates the famous Panagia Filerimou Nunnery, along with the remnants of the ancient citadel of Filerimou in Ialisos.

The nunnery owes its name to the portable icon of Panagia Filerimou which is called the Lady or Full of Grace. A miraculous and unique example of its kind, it was allegedly painted by the Evangelist Luke and is the holiest relic of the Order of the Knights. Today this particular icon is kept in Mavrovounio.

''The Road to Martyrdom'' or ''Cavalry'', right next to the nunnery with its 14 engravings and altars on one side, are representations of Christ's passion, is a reference point on the hill.

At the end of the road there is a huge Cross measuring 18 meters high. The interior features a staircase leading to the horizontal part of the cross and offers panoramic views of the island.
