Gaia Winery in Exo Gonia of Santorini, found in a great location next to the sea and very close to the island’s airport, is open to the public from May to October. It is housed in an industrial building made of stone, where tomato paste and sundried tomatoes were produced in the beginning of the last century. This building took on a new life and was transformed into one of the most interesting wineries worth-visiting.
The company is a leader in exports among the Greek wineries, as it exports 65% of its production and is also active in Nemea zone (Agiorgitiko), where it has a production unit. The visit to the winery includes wine tasting of the whole range of Gaia Wines from Nemea and Santorini and a tour of the winemaking facilities.
