In the alleys of the Old Town of Skiathos you will find Restaurant 1901, housed in a renovated stone building of the last century, as its name indicates. In fact, this is the building which formerly housed the grocery store of Psominis, where Alexandros Papadiamantis drank his coffee.
The owner and chef Petros Pikoulas, created this idyllic space with an art aesthetic to serve its guests Mediterranean cuisine dishes, with "tweaked" Greek flavours, that give a very prominent role to herbs and elegant sauces. Shrimps a la chef, lamb chops with pesto sauce, fish fillet with crayfish sauce, stuffed artichokes, etc. are some of the dishes that stand out.
Its pluses include the friendly service, the jazz- easy listening music that perfectly blends with the space and the excellent price-quality relation.
