This is the only island in the country with a masculine name and is 1.5 hours from Spetses by flying dolphin. It is the ideal choice for a day trip. The imposing Clock that welcomes you has proudly denoted the passage of time since 1927 and is one of the reference points on the island.
Visit the Archaeological Museum and the Public Library in the heart of the town of Poros. Also, make sure you pass by the Poros Exhibition Center which organizes exhibitions throughout the summer.
Stroll through the quaint alleys lined with white washed houses and colorful bougainvilleas to the coast road full of little taverns and cafes from the Cross all the way to the west pier of the port.
During your stay on the island you should definitely pay a visit to the villa Galini, the harbor of love (one of the busiest beaches), the Russian naval base (an 1834 monument where one of the most famous beaches on Poros is), Zoodohou Pigis monastery, the temple of Poseidon (little remains today) and Askeli beach (organized and very famous).
The price of an one way ticket on the flying dolphin is €14,50/person.
