Dapia is synonymous with Spetses as it is one of the first places you come across and the main "attraction". The port of Spetses is located in Dapia.
Historically, it constituted the arms depot of the island with many old canons to testify. This was indeed the place where the captains and lords gathered during the 1821 Revolution.
Today Dapia is where the boats come in. From here one coast road takes you east to the Old Port and the other west to the Scholes. It is also the ideal place to start your travels on the quaint little roads to the center of the island and to the beaches in the north. In other words, this is where your day and your walks start. Enjoying the first coffee of the day and breakfast, Dapia will entice you (as a starting point) to discover the rest of the island!
