1 day in Thessaloniki for families
Start your day with a walk around Aristotelous Square, where you can enjoy morning coffee while your kids play in the large pedestrian square. During your stay in Thessaloniki you should not miss the opportunity to visit the White Tower to acquaint yourself with the city's history, which is made even more enjoyable for kids with the help of audiovisual means. As for the view from the top, it is unrivaled and very impressive.
Very close to the White Tower is the Cultural Bus Line (No. 50) terminal which will take you on a tour around the city's most important sights (Agia Sophia, Agios Dimitrios, the Rotunda, Pasha Gardens) up to Ano Poli.
A visit to Thessaloniki's suburban forest, also known as Sheikh Sou, will bring you one step closer to nature and introduce you to rare animals such as foxes and bears. For lunch or dinner, choose one of the taverns in the paved square in Ladadika. From nearby Eleftherias Square, you can hop on a bus to take you to Mediterranean Cosmos Mall. There you can either go window shopping or head to the Magic Park, where children and adults can go on fun rides.
