2 days in Thessaloniki for couples
In Thessaloniki you can live your own fairy tale, as romance prevails in every corner. The day begins with an aromatic coffee in the French bistrot cafe, Mon Frere, accompanied by tasty brioches. Continue to Aristotelous Square and take some pictures in front of the beautiful Electra and Olympion buildings. Take Nikis Avenue and walk up to the White Tower, with the Thermaikos Gulf right next to you. For lunch, choose B restaurant in the Museum of Byzantine Culture. In the evening head east to Shark bar restaurant in Kalamaria, where Thessaloniki's 30 somethings hangout almost on a daily basis.
To start your day in the best way possible head for Ano Poli, where the Walls offer a panoramic view of the city and the Thermaikos. To reach them take the Culture Bus Line (No. 50) from Megalou Alexandrou Avenue which will take you on a tour of the city's historical and cultural sights (Agia Sophia, Agios Dimitrios, Aristotlelous Square, the Rotunda, etc.). Returning to the center, visit the outdoor florists in Louloudadika to get a glimpse of vivid colors and capture scents, as well as buy some of your favorite flowers. Your daily agenda should include a visit to the traditional Modiano and Kapani markets. A lovely dinner option is the Kitchen Bar in the port warehouses, from where you will be able to admire the glorious sunset over the Thermaikos. Later on, head for Aristotelous Square and go up to the Domatio me Thea (Room with a View) on the rooftop of Olympion.
