2 days in Thessaloniki for families
Your first contact with Thessaloniki will be in Aristotelous Square, where you will enjoy coffee while your children will play on the pavement. However, if you want to get to know the city's history, you should visit the White Tower, where the audiovisual means guarantee a pleasant experience for kids. Hop on the Cultural Bus Line (No. 50) from the terminal near the White Tower to take a tour around the city's main historical and cultural attractions. An excursion to Thessaloniki's suburban forest, also known as Sheikh Sou, will bring you closer to nature and rare animals such as foxes and bears. For lunch or dinner you can choose one of the many taverns in Ladadika. The most family friendly are those in the square or on Katouni pedestrain Street.
Go window shopping in Mediterranean Cosmos Mall, which is located on the way to the airport, and later head to one of the many cafes or restaurants to relax with your family. There is also a multiplex cinema, where you can watch a movie with your children. Directly opposite is Magic Park, an amusement park with fun rides for all ages. You should also pay a visit to the Noesis Science Center and Technology Museum, where children will be impressed by the Planetarium and the 3D Simulator.
