On Alexandrou Svolou street, far from the busy centre of Thessaloniki, Extrablatt (meaning newspaper supplement in German) is a pub-restaurant that will reveal to you the secrets of beer and international cuisine.

The menu is long –you will have a difficult time choosing– and the portions are large and hearty. The Dublin burger (with juicy burger, tomato, iceberg, cheddar cheese, bacon, onion, and barbeque sauce), gypsy mini steaks (grilled, mini pork neck steaks with peppers and mushrooms in red sauce) and the Viennese snitchel (breaded piece of tender pork, served with mushrooms a la creme), stand out on the menu.
